A new Korean Air fare is offering travellers in Los Angeles a relatively low-cost way to reach Chiang Mai, with The Flight Deal reporting an all-in round trip from LAX priced at $811. The deal is aimed at leisure travellers headed to northern Thailand and is routed via Seoul, giving passengers one-stop access to Chiang Mai rather than a more complex multi-carrier itinerary. According to the report, the sample trip runs from 11 November to 18 November 2026, though other dates are available within the sale window.

The airline’s own booking pages also show economy fares to Chiang Mai starting from $817, which suggests the promotional pricing is broadly in line with what Korean Air is advertising directly. Korean Air says availability can vary in real time and that extra charges may apply, so travellers should expect the headline fare to move as seats sell out.

For holidaymakers, the main appeal is convenience: Chiang Mai is one of Thailand’s most popular city-break and culture destinations, and a single-ticket journey via Seoul can be easier to manage than piecing together separate flights. The Flight Deal says the fare is valid for late October to early November, and again from mid-January through March 2027, with limited seats and a minimum purchase window of three days before departure.

This is not the cheapest version of this sale that has appeared in 2026. The Flight Deal previously flagged the same route at $609 in January and $828 in June, before the August price settled at $811, showing how quickly fares to Chiang Mai can shift. The site also notes that Korean Air is part of SkyTeam and a Delta partner, which may matter to travellers hoping to earn or use frequent-flyer miles on the trip.
